Downtown Berthoud’s New Hometown Heroes Banners

If you’ve walked through Historic Downtown Berthoud recently, you’ve probably noticed something new overhead. The Town of Berthoud’s new Hometown Heroes banners now line Mountain Avenue. The banners honor local veterans and recognize their service while adding another meaningful layer to downtown Berthoud.

Take some time to stroll downtown and look up. A number of local spots make it easy to slow down and spend some extra time enjoying the small town charm. Each banner tells part of a larger community story. The program recognizes veterans with ties to Berthoud across multiple generations and branches of military service.

Connecting Community, History, and Downtown

Downtown Berthoud Hometown Heroes BannerThe banners also add to the walkable experience of Historic Downtown Berthoud. As you move between local shops, restaurants, and historic buildings, the banners help connect the past with the present.

The Hometown Heroes Banner Program was made possible through the Town of Berthoud along with support from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the American Legion Auxiliary. These organizations continue to support veterans and play an important role in the Berthoud community today.

Thank you to the Town of Berthoud, the Berthoud VFW and the local American Legion for bringing the program to life.
